Film day with „Beauty and the Beast“ in Graz
For more than one week the students of 4A tackled the topic „Beauty and Beauty ideals“ in their English lessons. The highlight of the workshop was when they visited the KIZ Royal Cinema in Graz to see the new „Beauty and the Beast“ film, in English without subtitles!
What is real beauty? How have beauty ideals changed in the last 100 years? How will they develop? These are just some question the students of 4A answered or tried to answer in the project week about beauty. They watched clips, read texts and discussed, only to find out that „Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder“ after all.
The highlight followed on March 23rd, when they visited the city of Graz together with their form teacher Mag. Maeve Doyle. After an exciting workshop at the studio of „Antenne Steiermark“ with Mag. Christine Eichelseder and Mag. Maeve Doyle, the 22 students and their form teacher did some fun team-building exercises in the park and then, finally, they went to see the new „Beauty and the Beast“ film in the KIZ Royal English cinema! The students were really proud when they discovered they could easily follow the film, in English without subtitles. What a great way to end a project!
